Important Update: Martinez USD is Now Providing Access to the Qustodio Parent App

Posted Date: 8/30/24 (6:30 PM)

Dear Parent

As part of our commitment to your child’s online safety, we want to let you know about an important update. Martinez Unified School District has partnered with Qustodio, provider of online safety solutions.

As devices play an increasing role in children’s education it is crucial that we put safeguards in place. Your child already benefits from internet filtering technology which blocks inappropriate web content on their school-owned device. This is also mandated by US legislation.

Martinez Unified School District is going one step further. We are granting every parent a free Qustodio Parental App account. Qustodio will give you important insights into your child’s online activity on their school device. You can use it to review and manage activities on other devices in your home too.

With Qustodio, you’ll be able to:
- Manage your child’s screen time
- Supervise your child’s online activity
- Access expert advice via Martinez Unified School District's Online Safety Hub

Qustodio is a valuable partner that prioritizes privacy, safety and rights of students and parents worldwide.

On September 3rd, Qustodio will email you with simple instructions to register your account.

We are excited to work with you and Qustodio to help our students develop healthy and safe online habits. Please visit Martinez Unified School District's Online Safety Hub for more information about Qustodio, access to expert advice and additional resources.

Let’s build a safer online environment for our students together!

Thank You,

Martinez Unified School District

Earlier today, invitation emails were sent out to all parents for you to create your new Qustodio account and begin using this service for your students. Please review your email and create an account if you wish to participate. We have added a couple quickguides to this post to help get started.
